Defence Cyber Certification DCC Level 0

Logiq is proud to announce that it has officially achieved Level 0 certification under the UK’s Defence Cyber Certification (DCC) scheme – placing the company among the first organisations to be certified under the new standard.

Issued by IASME, the certification confirms that Logiq meets the baseline cyber security requirements expected of suppliers working with or in support of the Ministry of Defence (MOD). With Level 0 currently the only tier available within the DCC framework, this early certification reflects the company’s proactive approach to cyber assurance and supply chain readiness.

We’ve spoken a lot recently about DCC and its growing role in shaping MOD supplier expectations,” said James Walker, CTO, Logiq. “This certification provides external validation that we’re aligned with those expectations – and reinforces our wider commitment to security, compliance, and delivery confidence.

About the Defence Cyber Certification (DCC) scheme

The DCC scheme was introduced to bring greater structure and assurance to how defence suppliers manage cyber risk. Developed in partnership between the MOD and IASME, DCC has introduced a more formalised, tiered model of certification based on the sensitivity and risk profile of a supplier’s work.

Each level within the scheme reflects a defined set of cyber controls.  While DCC Level 0 certification addresses core areas such as system resilience, protection against cyber-attack and system failure, data protection through GDPR and Data Protection Impact Assessments, and a commitment to maintaining Cyber Essentials, it is designed primarily as an entry point. Future levels are expected to build on this foundation with increasingly rigorous and comprehensive requirements. These are designed to ensure suppliers handling more sensitive information or operating in higher-risk contexts have the appropriate technical and procedural safeguards in place.

Certification is carried out by IASME-approved assessors, with suppliers required to provide documented evidence across a range of areas including access control, vulnerability management, incident response, and security governance.

Meeting MOD Cyber Security Requirements

For Logiq, this certification builds on an already mature cyber posture. As a company that operates across defence, central government, and other highly regulated sectors, information security is a core part of both service delivery and internal operations.

Achieving DCC Level 0 demonstrates the company’s readiness to meet formal MOD assurance criteria – but also signals a longer-term commitment to progressing through the higher certification levels as they become available.

Level 0 is just the beginning. As the DCC framework expands, we’re in a strong position to move quickly and confidently through the levels,” Walker added. “For our clients, this is further evidence that Logiq is well aligned with the standards and expectations shaping today’s secure government environments.

Supporting the Wider Defence Supply Chain

As DCC becomes more widely adopted across defence procurement and supply chain due diligence, certified organisations will be better positioned to respond to tenders, demonstrate compliance, and reduce friction in security assurance processes.

Logiq will continue to support its clients and partners in navigating these evolving requirements – whether through advisory engagements, secure managed services, or assurance-led system delivery.

This milestone further reinforces Logiq’s position as a trusted supplier – with more to come as the DCC scheme evolves.
