Bristol, UK – 7 July 2026 – Logiq has launched DISX Isolate, a standalone enterprise environment designed to support operations above OFFICIAL where internet connectivity is deliberately restricted by design.
The service is aimed at defence, government and other organisations that need to create, process and exchange sensitive information within deliberately isolated environments. In these operating conditions, isolation is only part of the challenge. Teams still need to work with documents, manage access, introduce approved software, retain operational evidence and maintain the environment without relying on the connected services that most organisations take for granted.
The launch reflects the continued evolution of the DISX portfolio and growing demand for deployment models that align with different operational and assurance requirements. Not every programme operates in the same way. Some require secure, connected collaboration, while others need deliberately isolated environments with tightly controlled data movement. DISX Isolate has been developed to meet those different operational realities.
“DISX Isolate builds on experience Logiq has developed over many years designing and delivering standalone environments for organisations operating in some of the UK’s most security-conscious settings,” said James Walker, Chief Technology Officer at Logiq. “It formalises that capability as a dedicated offering, bringing together the controls, operational processes and architectural flexibility required where separation from connected services is fundamental to the mission.
“As the DISX portfolio continues to mature, we are making the distinct role of each deployment model easier to understand. DISX Isolate supports programmes operating above OFFICIAL, while the realigned DISX Secure Collaboration offering provides a secure, connected environment for organisations that need to collaborate confidently without compromising governance or assurance.”
DISX Isolate provides a hardened enterprise environment built around controlled separation, structured data movement and governed operational processes. It supports secure document creation, enterprise services and policy-controlled IMPEX activity within a deliberately air-gapped architecture.
The service includes the core capabilities required to make standalone operation sustainable over time, including identity and policy services, file services, monitoring, logging, backup and vulnerability scanning. Updates and patches are introduced through a controlled update server model rather than direct internet exposure, helping programmes maintain operational currency while preserving the environment’s isolation.
Where data needs to enter or leave the environment, DISX Isolate supports structured IMPEX processes that can be integrated with assured media scanning solutions such as Secure File Gateway. Files can be sanitised, verified and logged before release, providing a disciplined and evidenced approach to controlled movement across the security boundary while supporting established governance and audit requirements.
DISX Isolate can be configured around different deployment requirements, from VDI environments using thin or zero clients to secured laptops or desktops, resilient infrastructure models and tightly scoped single-user deployments. The architecture is tailored to the programme, its existing controls and the operating model it needs to support.
DISX is Logiq’s secure workspace portfolio, developed to support defence, government and regulated organisations operating across a range of security and assurance requirements. The launch of DISX Isolate, alongside the realignment of DISX Secure Collaboration, marks the next stage in that evolution. Together, the portfolio provides clearer deployment options spanning secure connected collaboration through to deliberately isolated environments operating above OFFICIAL, making it easier for organisations to select an approach aligned to both their operational needs and assurance obligations.
For programmes where isolation is central to the mission, creating a disconnected environment is only the beginning. Keeping that environment secure, supportable and usable over months and years requires disciplined operational processes alongside robust technical controls. DISX Isolate has been developed to address those realities, enabling organisations to maintain isolated environments without compromising governance, operational effectiveness or long-term sustainability.
